Harry Adams was the chief navigator on the 1928-30 Byrd Antarctic expedition. While serving as the second mate aboard the ‚ÄúEleanor Bolling‚ÄĚ, Adams wrote this detailed account of Byrd’s initial expedition, the first American experience of the Antarctic continent.
