First printing of the Newness Edition in the Original 20 Parts and including approximately 200 photographs & illustrations and one colour fold-out map in Volume 7. The set is complete and in Good condition with several volumes showing normal chipping to original spines and cover edges. A rare complete set and preserved in a custom made claim shell box covered in dark green Belgium linen.

 

This is the rarre first publication of the first-person account published in 20 parts of Nansen’s three-year Fram expedition toward the North Pole and based on his diary accounts. Nansen and Lieutenant Johansen traveled 146 miles farther north than anyone else. An amazing expedition and account.
