By Fridtjof Nansen
Greenwood Press, New York: 1969. Publisher’s brown cloth with bright gilt titles on spine in Near Fine condition. With numerous full page plates, charts and maps and fold-outs describing scientific finds of Fridtjof Nansen’s Norwegian North Polar (Farthest North) Expedition. These six volumes describe his trek to the upper reaches into the sub-arctic of Norway but more so provide the body of scientific work preformed during the lengthily expedition. The findings were originally published in 1901 by Longmans, Green and Co. and completes sets are Rare. This 1969 reprint is also difficult to find in complete sets and is considered Scarce — especially in this Near Fine Condition.
