Chet Ross Rare Books is a member in good standing of the American Booksellers’ Association of America. We specialize in rare books and publications related to exploration and discovery with a special focus on exploration of the Polar Regions — this includes first person narratives, scientific research and ephemera. We sell to and purchase from collectors, booksellers, public and private institutions, museums and libraries. Upon evaluation, we accept books for consignment. We maintain an interest in significant narratives and scientific research associated with exploration, travel and discovery of other geographical areas.

Chet Ross Rare Books offers appraisal services for donation purposes, insurance coverage or to establish value. We can provide informal valuations on single items to formal appraisals of entire collections.

Located in Tucson, Arizona in the lovely Sonoran Desert area of the southwest, we encourage interested parties to inquire about books, our appraisal services and/or to arrange an appointment to view our inventory. Our website typically shows about 15% of on-hand inventory, so please do not hesitate to inquire about special interest.
