Written the year after Igloo’s death in 1930, the book tells the story of an adopted dog who became Admiral Richard Byrd’s polar companion. Igloo became the first (and possibly the only) dog to have flown over the South Pole and the North Pole in Byrd’s alleged first ever flights over each Pole. An excellent read for all age levels.
